Nodosa Shipyard in Spain contracted Naust Marine to supply a complete electrical winch package and control system solution for a new generation factory trawler.
According to Nodosa, this new build will be exceedingly energy efficient and sustainable. The shipyard’s architects optimized the hull lines and shapes to achieve top hydrodynamics and prime seakeeping.
Naust Marine is honored to supply its sophisticated electric winches, thus contributing to the reduction of environmental impact.
The factory trawler, to be named Voyager, will be 79m long with a breadth of 15.50m. It is expected to be the largest vessel in the Talley’s Group fleet and will be outfitted for processing and freezing a variety of species found in the New Zealand waters.
Voyager is expected to be delivered in 2026.
