Naust Marine delivered early this month two new trawl winches to Blængur NK in Iceland.

For over two decades, Blængur NK has been using the ATW Control System from Naust Marine.  The new winches are therefore a perfect match with the ATW system which is still going strong after all those years.  

The ATW Trawl winch control system is based on automatic load control for trawl winches.  The system shoots the net to pre-set length that is decided by the operator at each time, with equal tension on both wires at all times.  During trawling, the ATW Trawl winch control system keeps the trawl in optimal geometrical position. The result is maximum catch with minimum operational cost.
