Naust Marine
has signed a deal with the Chinese consulting
firm Amada Marine Consultant in Beijing. The deal is part of a broader agreement
between Amada Marine Consultant and three Icelandic companies, Naust Marine, Polar
Fishing Gear and Navis. According to the agreement Amada undertakes the
responsibility of introducing the companies’ products in China.
Naust
Marine has high hopes for the new cooperation, especially the involvement of Bao
Sheng Qing, the former CEO of China National Fisheries Corporations (CNFC).
The
deal was signed by representatives of the three companies during a trip to
China where they visited fishing companies, shipyards and winch-producers.
Towards
the end of the trip the Icelandic representatives participated in the
exhibition China Fisheries & Seafood Expo in Dalian. At
the Expo Naust Marine introduced its products along with other Icelandic
companies in a booth organized by Íslandsstofa.
