The ATW-Catch Control system is available for the 3 main types
of trawlers:
Danish seine netter:
The Towing winches control have an option of operating as Danish seine
winches with high speed for shooting. The tension in the wires and the
wire length are measured by Rpm and Current in the motors. The motors are
specially selected for high speed during shooting and high
torque on low rpm.
ATW - 2x
Split Winches:
Both winches can work simultaneously and with the same torque. The
tension in the wires and the wire length are measured by the ATW
CatchControl directly from the motor current and the rpm of the motors.
These measurements are used to adjust the torque to keep constant
tension in both wires. This function is very useful in rough sea and
when necessary to change course frequently.
ATW - Twin-Rig Trawling:
Stb. and Ps. winches can work simultaneously and with the same torque.
The tension in the wires and the wire length are measured by the
ATW-CatchControl directly from the motor current and the rpm of the
motors. These measurements are used to adjust the torque to keep
constant tension in the Stb. and Ps. wires. The length of the mid wire
is adjusted in accordance with the length of the Stb. and Ptb. wires.
